Community Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC)

CTAC Open Invitation for Application

In 2016, Connect Transit provided nearly 2.5 million rides in Bloomington-Normal. More and more citizens have been using the Connect Transit buses to travel to work, school, shopping, and medical care, resulting in increased ridership over the past five years. Public transportation is providing the community with a reliable transportation choice and promoting local economic growth while doing so. The continuing growth of high-quality public transportation in our community has certainly made it an exciting time at Connect Transit and we need your help to keep things moving.

Connect Transit has created a Community Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC) to take a proactive role in advising transit system management in the promotion and provision of high-quality transportation programs and services. Connect Transit believes it is critical that representatives from many different parts of the community such as industry, education, health care, social service, and private citizens all have the opportunity to contribute to this committee. The committee meets bi-monthly and members will receive free bus passes during their membership terms.

Meetings will be held at the Connect Transit facility located at 351 Wylie Drive in Normal, IL.

If you are interested in serving on the CTAC, please review the rules and by-laws and submit your application for an appointment.

Sincerely,
Isaac Thorne
General Manager
