Connect Transit (Bloomington-Normal Public Transit System, B-NPTS), is the public transportation provider for the communities of Bloomington and Normal, IL. Publicly owned and operated, Connect Transit has provided safe, reliable and affordable transportation to the community since 1972. Connect Transit is owned by the two cities and governed by a Board of Trustees. Funded largely through Federal and State dollars, Connect Transit is not a taxing body. Connect Transit employs 82 full-time employees and 16 part-time employees.
